‘A1’ LIST
BREED SPECIALIST & NON-BREED SPECIALIST
For persons who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs in the breed and have completed their first appointment. To
have the support of this Club.
‘A2’ LIST
BREED SPECIALIST & NON-BREED SPECIALIST
For persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted
by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of this Club.
‘A3’ LIST
BREED SPECIALIST
Minimum of 7 years judging experience in the breed and have support of the Irish Wolfhound Club. (KC Policy)
Minimum of 30 classes with a minimum of 80 Irish Wolfhounds judged
To have bred and or owned a minimum of 3 Irish Wolfhounds when they obtained their 1st entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (Save in exceptional
circumstances). (KC Policy)
To have attended a Seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and
Judging Procedures. (KC Policy 01/07/2001)
To have attended a Conformation & Movement ”Hands–on Assessment” conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the
assessment. (KC Policy 1.7.2005)
To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed and
examination and/or assessment where applicable. (KC Policy 1.7.2001)
To have attended a Club Championship Show level seminar successfully demonstrating competence to judge the breed.
Must agree to submit a written critique to the dog Press for all future Irish Wolfhound judging appointments
The submission of a copy of a critique from a previous Irish Wolfhound judging appointment would be appreciated.
Provide a full Judging CV
To have Stewarded over a minimum of 3 years and 12 times (KC Policy) (2 or 3 days at one show will count as 2 or 3 times). (KC Policy)
‘A3’ LIST
NON-BREED SPECIALIST
Minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed (to include 5 years in Irish Wolfhounds) and have the support of the Irish Wolfhound Club
of Northern Ireland
Minimum of 30 Irish Wolfhound classes with 80 Irish Wolfhounds judged
To have bred and or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of any breed when they obtained their 1st entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (Save in
exceptional circumstances). (KC Policy)
To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an
examination and/or assessment where applicable. (KC Policy)
To have attended a Seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation & Movement. (KC Policy 01/07/2001)

‘B’ LIST
BREED SPECIALIST
Minimum of 5 years in own breed
Minimum of 15 classes with 30 Irish Wolfhounds judged.
Irish Wolfhounds owned or bred qualified for the Stud Book.
Attendance at a Club Open Show level seminar, successfully demonstrating competence to judge the breed
Must agree to submit a written critique to the dog Press for all future Irish Wolfhound judging appointments.
The submission of a copy of a critique from a previous Irish Wolfhound judging appointment would be appreciated.

‘B’ LIST
NON-BREED SPECIALIST
Minimum of 5 years in own breed
Minimum of 15 classes with 30 Irish Wolfhounds judged.
Dogs owned or bred qualified for the Stud Book.
*At the discretion of the Irish Wolfhound Club of Northern Ireland Committee applicants may be considered for inclusion on the ‘B’ List when they do not meet the above criteria, however, they must be included on the ‘A1′ list of a club of a related sighthound breed ie. Afghan Hound, Borzoi, Deerhound, Greyhound, Ibizan Hound, Pharaoh Hound, Saluki, Whippet.*
Attendance at a Club Seminar successfully demonstrating competence to judge Irish Wolfhounds.
Must agree to submit a written critique to the dog Press for all future Irish Wolfhound judging appointments.
The submission of a copy of a critique from a previous Irish Wolfhound judging appointment would be appreciated.
